In Sarasota Teen Court, teens get to hold positions such at teen attorney, juror, bailiff, office assistant & many more. Some of the teens are getting another shot after an encounter with law enforcement, instead of becoming a regular in the jail & prison systems.

It has given many kids a chance to change the course of their own lives to have a better future. Teen Court has helped many families heal and given them a new lease on life.

This great fundraising program – The 2016 Giving Challenge – has been put together by the Community Foundation of Sarasota.

Make sure to donate to the Giving Challenge on September 20th or 21st! All donations made during the Giving Challenge to Teen Court will be matched 2:1 by The Patterson Foundation, up to $100 per donation!

Sarasota Teen Court’s mission is to introduce area youth to activities and services that promote feelings of self-esteem and self-improvement when they develop a healthy attitude toward authority. All organizational activities instill and teach the benefits of law abiding citizenship and civic engagement.
